• A beyond talented photographer who LISTENS!

  When it came to photographing our wedding, my husband and I wanted to find someone who could capture the event in a beautiful but unique way. We were less interested in posed photographs and more excited about candid, authentic captures from a real experience. We wanted images to highlight the true essence of the night rather than looking like something staged. Working with Ivy of The Gold Collective gave us everything we were looking for and then some! Our wedding album is filled with hilarious party moments and tender intimate moments. You truly feel transported back in time with very image. Ivy and her team really listened to us and made us feel so taken care of. It feels like she truly takes the time to get to know each of her clients and can easily adapt to whatever type of style anyone might want. Ivy is kind and lovely to work with, not to mention insanely talented, so she really is the perfect photographer!

• We were fortunate enough to have The Gold Collective photograph our wedding and will be thankful we made that decision for the rest of our lives. The photos are one of a kind and truly reflect our event and our personality as a couple. Ivy was so thoughtful in her approach, not only having many conversations with us about our hopes for how our wedding would be photographed, but she was also kind enough to come to our walk through so she could see the space and we could put together a game plan for the evening. It also afforded her the opportunity to meet our family before the event and find a point person within our family to help wrangle during family photos. The photography team was seemingly everywhere during our wedding, taking photos of the space, the ceremony, and the party in equal measure. Less than a week after our wedding, we were absolutely shocked when a link to the photos arrived in our inbox. We immediately looked through and were overjoyed by what we saw. Not only did they get every shot, and every guest, they did so in such an artful and composed way, full of hilarious candids and gorgeous intimate moments. It really felt like reliving the fun of our wedding all over again. We truly felt transported because the photographs hold an authentic essence of the evening in such a beautiful way. Ivy is the best and we will and would recommend her to anyone in need of a photographer. She is one of a kind!

• I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. By the end of the weekend, I had guests complimenting me on the photographer even though they hadn’t seen a single photo yet—they just really liked Ivy. She did an equally wonderful job capturing portraits and party shots, and I felt like our personality and the vibe of the whole weekend really came through in the photos. They turned out gorgeous, fun, unique and elevated, all without ever falling into the cheesy wedding photo tropes. Now, all I have to do to relive a weekend that went by much too quickly is look at my photos!

• Ivy was such a delight to work with from the start! She was very transparent about her services and I really felt like I could trust her. It’s very easy to be comfortable with her because of how friendly she is. This was extremely important to me and she didn’t disappoint! Once the big day came I was pretty nervous, but Ivy and her assistant were both kind and upbeat which helped shake the nerves off. I can’t even begin to describe how beautiful the photos turned out. I let her know that I was less interested in super-posed portraits, which she respected, and though I’m sure she would have done a great job with super posey stuff, it’s just not our vibe. Even so, she was able to get perfect photos with our families and wedding party. She was creative with the detail shots so I will never forget every little thing we planned. Best of all, however, were the reception shots. Sometimes, with wedding photos, there really aren’t that many photos of the guests. I couldn’t believe how many incredible photos there were of everyone having so much fun…it really captured the spirit of the whole evening!
