A wedding (I’m sure you’ve heard!) can sometimes end up being a bit of a shit show! Wedding planners are the key people who orchestrate whether yours will feel like smooth sailing or wow – I am so glad I never have to do that again! lol 🙂

In my experience, it boils down to just 3 types of planners:

Get a GOOD wedding planner and you might be thinking to yourself “WOW that looked like hard work! I am so grateful I had my planner to get me through all of this!”

Get a BAD wedding planner and you might still be feeling the stress of the big day – that happened 3 months ago! “I mean what did the planner even do? Except for arguing what was and wasn’t included in their rate?”

Now cross paths with A GREAT wedding planner and you might be saying to yourself right now – “WOW! Well, that was so easy. I had so much fun! I wonder why I even needed to hire a wedding planner?”

We had the chance to work with Katie not too long ago and she left us with a really great impression. She was the type of planner who didn’t just accommodate the couple but also the vendors working at the event like me! Believe it or not, that doesn’t always come into the mind of your average wedding planner. She takes care of people but at the same time is a boss that gets things done!

She will dot all of your I’s and cross all of your T’s when you don’t know what the heck you are doing because – you’ve never been married before!

She will also give you the wedding of your dreams and at the same time remain as calm as a cucumber 🙂 Everybody claims to have this winning combo but Katie actually slays at this skill.

Hi! I’m Katie Hall Goodman, lead planner and owner of Best Day Ever LA Events! A little about me:

I was born and raised in Chicago and attended Northwestern University on a hockey scholarship while majoring in theater. After graduating, I moved to LA and spent my first 10 years producing films and commercials until the wedding industry quietly stole my heart in 2014. Since then, my passion for production has been redirected to weddings full-time.

When I’m not planning events for badass couples (or living that sexy quarantine life), I’m either doing something active (flying trapeze is a new fave!) or spending way too much money at cute coffee shops or vegan restaurants (because I’m a cheese whore trying to curb my addiction).

Since I’m a list-maker and bullet-points are my jam…let’s do a quick get-to-know-me, shall we? KATIE HAS:

* Supreme bed head (like award-level shit)

* A fancy, commercial-grade juicer (which she mostly uses to make margaritas)

* An insatiable appetite for donuts (and Justin Timberlake)

* A birthmark shaped like Africa (which she covered with a regrettable tramp-stamp)

* A talent for comedic rapping (and rhyming things with Hallsack)

* Crazy fun working with her clients to plan personalized weddings that are a true reflection of them.

Since most couples have never attempted to plan such large scale events, wedding-planning often starts out to be overwhelming and stressful. But…it can also be amazing, magical, and ridiculously fun. I’m here to make sure that you experience the latter! My goal is to see you and your partner relaxed and soaking up every tasty moment of your engagement and wedding day because that’s exactly what you deserve.
